Rezar (born June 16, 1994 in Amsterdam , Netherlands ) is an Albanian wrestler . He is currently under contract with the WWE and appears regularly on their show Raw . His greatest achievement to date has been receiving the Raw Tag Team Championship .

MMA career

He joined the Golden Glory Management and started participating in amateur mixed martial arts shooto competitions in the Netherlands in 2012. His first professional fight was against Kaan Postaci in The Hague, Netherlands on July 8, 2012. He played his last MMA fight in October 2014 at Bellator 130, which he lost to Daniel Gallemore via TKO.

Wrestling career

In May 2015, he signed a contract with WWE and began training as a wrestler at the WWE Performance Center . He made his in-ring debut at an NXT house show in Venice, Florida on January 30, 2016, and lost it. In February 2016, he and Akam formed the Authors of Pain Tag Team.

Akam and Rezar made their NXT TV debut on NXT TakeOver: The End on June 8, 2016 when they attacked American Alpha Chad Gable and Jason Jordan . After this attack, they introduced Paul Ellering as their manager. Together they won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic after defeating TM-61 on NXT TakeOver: Toronto. On January 28, 2017, they won the NXT Tag Team Championship from #DIY Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa . They lost the title to SAnitY on August 19, 2017 after 203 days of reign.

The Authors of Pain made their main roster debut on Raw on April 9, 2018. They won their first fight on the main roster against Heath Slater and Rhyno . After that, they separated from their manager. On the September 3, 2018 Raw episode, they shortened their tag team name to AOP. On November 5, 2018, they won the Raw Tag Team Championship from Seth Rollins because he was playing a handicap match. The reign lasted 35 days and then lost the title to Bobby Roode and Chad Gable on December 10, 2018 . In January 2019, his tag team partner suffered a leg injury. They returned for a match in June 2019. Since then, various clips have been given to inform them of their return. However, this did not materialize due to injuries.
