Rhabdoweisia crispata (Curled Streifenperlmoos) is a moss - kind from the family Oncophoraceae .
features
The stems of Rhabdoweisia crispata are up to 2 centimeters high, the leaves are linear-lanceolate, pointed and toothed in the upper third or only in the tip of the leaf. The lamina cells are square at the top, rectangular at the bottom and 2 to 4 times as long as they are wide. Sporogons are mostly present. The peristome teeth are linear-lanceolate and up to 190 micrometers long.
Location requirements
The moss grows on lime-free rocks in moist, shady and protected locations such as crevices or niches, usually over a thin layer of humus.
distribution
In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the occurrences are limited to the Alps and low mountain ranges. In the rest of Europe, moss is mainly found in the north-western parts, but it is absent in the Mediterranean area. It is also found in Asia (especially East Asia, Java, New Guinea), North and South America and South Africa.
