It owns and operates nine waterworks and thirteen water tanks with a storage capacity of around 63,000 cubic meters . RWW also owns the Kahlenberg hydropower plant .
In order to supply its customers in the 850 km² supply area with around 80 million cubic meters of water annually, RWW has a pipeline network of around 3,000 kilometers in length. It is a member of the working group of the waterworks an der Ruhr (AWWR).
