Ribeira Chã is a Portuguese town and municipality on the Azores island of São Miguel .
history
The first record of the settlement of today's municipality comes from the year 1637. The place received its first elementary school in 1879.
Ribeira Chã belonged to the municipality of Água de Pau until it became an independent municipality in 1966.
