Santa Cruz is a Portuguese community ( freguesia ) in the district of Lagoa , on the Azores island of São Miguel . It has 3,671 inhabitants on an area of 14 km² (as of June 30, 2011).
It is one of the two municipalities of the district town of Lagoa, next to Nossa Senhora do Rosário .
