The next year he played in the American Hockey League and came to ten missions in the NHL. Then Parent decided to move to Europe and signed a contract in the German Ice Hockey League . His first stop was the Iserlohn Roosters at the end of the 2001/02 season . After a season with the Kassel Huskies , he moved to the Eisbären Berlin for the 2003/04 season and became German runner-up. The following season he was on the ice for the Hannover Scorpions . At the beginning of the 2005-06 season , Parent stayed fit in North America in the hope of still getting an NHL contract.
