Richard Duddek (born September 26, 1923 - † December 17, 2010 ) was a German football player. The goalkeeper played 27 games in the Oberliga West for VfL Bochum between 1953 and 1955 .

career

The higher-class career of goalkeeper Richard Duddek began at SpVgg Röhlinghausen in 1949/50 in the 2nd Oberliga West . After the direct resurgence followed in the 1951/52 season, the sporting descent of Röhlinghausen as third from bottom. Together with his teammates Heinz Liebers , Gerd Schirrmacher and Herbert Sturm , Duddek moved to VfL Bochum in the summer of 1952.

With Bochum Duddek was in the 1952/53 season champion of the 2nd Oberliga West and rose to the Oberliga West. Ernst Koch had scored the Bochum club on April 26, 1953 in a 7-2 win in the catch-up game at the VfB Marathon Remscheid with five goals in the top division. Duddek played his first league game away on August 9, 1953 at FC Schalke 04 . The team from Castroper Strasse had to admit defeat 1-0 by a goal from Hans Krämer in the 23rd minute. Bochum finished 8th in the table at the end of the 1953/54 season . In the following preparation for the season, Duddek lost his regular place to Siegfried Tiedtke . After Duddek was no longer used in the league round 1954/55 , he ended his career in the summer of 1955.
