Richard Felix Marchand
Richard Felix Marchand (born August 25, 1813 in Berlin , † August 2, 1850 in Halle an der Saale ) was a German chemist . His son was the physician Felix Marchand (1846–1928).
In 1840 Marchand completed his habilitation at the University of Berlin . In 1843 he followed a call as an associate professor of chemistry at the University of Halle . In 1846 he became a full professor there. Together with Otto Linné Erdmann , he was editor of the journal for practical chemistry . Since 1849 he was a full member of the Royal Saxon Society of Sciences . He died of cholera in 1850.
