Richard Fischer (architect)

Jacob Richard Fischer called Fischer-Ludvigsen (born June 10, 1870 in Barmen (now part of Wuppertal ); † October 2, 1928 there ) was a German architect . Preserved structures are protected as architectural monuments. His own designed house was destroyed during the air raid on Barmen on the night of May 29th to 30th, 1943 .

Live and act

Fischer, the youngest son of the architect Gerhard August Fischer (1833–1906), studied architecture at the TH Hannover , where he became a member of the Corps Ostfalia . After his apprenticeship as an architect, initially worked in his father's office, often acting as site manager for the buildings . In some cases he also carried out his own private commissions, and from 1905 he worked entirely as a private architect. He entered the service of the city of Barmen on October 16, 1910, where, under the direction of city building inspector Paul Eduard Freygang , he and his colleagues Julius Dicke , W. Huxhold and Eugen Rückle were entrusted with numerous city building projects. In the building police administration Barmen Fischer worked for the 1918th Due to illness, he had to give up his job in 1927.

Fischer was married to Clara Ludvigsen.
