Richard Hauser (Economist)

Richard Hauser (born October 8, 1936 in Munich ) is a German economist. He is a professor emeritus for economics at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . Hauser researches mainly on income and wealth distribution as well as on poverty .

Life

From 1963 to 1969 he was a research assistant at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . Hauser received his doctorate in 1968 on wealth redistribution in the face of creeping inflation . From 1969 to 1971 he was a post doctoral research fellow at Yale University . From 1974 to 1977 he was professor of economic policy, in particular labor market and social policy, at the Department of Economics at the Technical University of Berlin . From 1977 to 2002 he was a university professor for economics, in particular distribution and social policy, at the Faculty of Economics at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main.

Richard Hauser worked as a political adviser a. a. in the Poverty and Wealth Report of 2005 and also repeatedly contributed to current political debates with proposals, most recently with the 30-30 model he developed to combat poverty in old age.
