Richard Hecht

Richard Emil Hecht (born March 21, 1925 in Spöck ; † July 28, 1999 in Bruchsal ) was an administrative specialist, mayor of Spöck, co-initiator of the community association and first mayor of Stutensee, as well as a member of the Free Voters' Association of Baden-Württemberg.

Live and act

After attending school in Spöck, he received administrative training from the city administration in Karlsruhe from 1941 and, after his permanent position in the 1950s, achieved the position of chief inspector.

On August 1, 1958, Hecht was elected mayor of his home community Spöck. As part of the administrative reform, he was one of the initiators of the founding of the community of Stutensee alongside Arnold Hauck (then mayor of Staffort ).

In March 1975 he was elected the first mayor of this new municipal association and was impressively confirmed in office in 1983 with 98.9%. In 1991 Hecht retired. He was a long-time member of the Karlsruhe district assembly and was involved in various municipal associations in the North Baden region. His successor in the office of mayor was Klaus Demal .

Richard Hecht had been married to Irmgard, nee Weßbecher, since 1951.

  • The Stutensee-Spöcker Richard-Hecht-Schule was named after him.
