Richard Linsert (born November 17, 1899 , † February 3, 1933 in Berlin ) was a German publicist and sexologist .

Life

Linsert grew up in Munich and completed a commercial apprenticeship there. He became a member of the Communist Party of Germany (KPD). He was also politically active in the Red Front Fighters League and in the secret intelligence service of the KPD ( AM apparatus ). In Munich he met Kurt Hiller know who gave him a job as an assistant secretary in the Scientific Humanitarian Committee with Magnus Hirschfeld mediated. From 1926 he was secretary of the Scientific and Humanitarian Committee. He became an expert in sexology topics and wrote on counter-proposal to the draft Penal Code of 1927. In December 1929 left Linsert the Scientific Humanitarian Committee and founded with doctors Max Hodann , Bernd Götz and the lawyer Fritz Flato the Archive for Sexology , but which hardly achieved great importance. Nevertheless, in 1929 and 1930 he wrote books on contraception and aphrodisiacs together with Magnus Hirschfeld . In 1929 he also published an anthology on male prostitution. In 1931 Linsert published a monograph Kabale und Liebe . His partner was Peter Limann , the second secretary of the Scientific-Humanitarian Committee. Linsert died in Berlin in February 1933 of a delayed pneumonia.
