Richard Marden

Richard Eustace Marden (born 1928 in Hendon (London) , Middlesex , † November 13, 2006 in London ) was a British film editor .

Life

Marden began his career in the film business with sound editing in the mid-1950s. At the end of the decade he switched to film editing and was involved in around 38 productions up to and including 1996.

He edited several films with director Stanley Donen from the 1960s to the 1980s .

In 1972 he received the British Academy Film Award for his work on Sunday, Bloody Sunday . Two years earlier, his montage of Queen for a Thousand Days was nominated for the American Cinema Editors Eddie Award .
