Richard Moser (painter)
Richard Moser (born October 2, 1874 in Vienna , † August 2, 1924 in Aigen (Salzburg) ) was an Austrian painter, draftsman and etcher .
Life
Moser was an autodidact who worked from 1889 to 1897 in the studio of the court theater painter Hermann Burghart . After that, he primarily created vedute and architectural pictures in watercolor technique, which made him famous. From 1905 he mainly created etchings.
Most of his work focused on views of old Vienna. Many of his pictures are in the Wien Museum . Postcards were also printed after Moser's watercolors, for example with pictures of Joseph Haydn's home.
