Richard Preiß (born April 18, 1902 in Wanowitz , † after 1945) was a German politician ( NSDAP ). From 1932 to 1933 he was a member of the Prussian state parliament . He then sat in the Reichstag until the end of the Nazi regime in 1945 .

Life

After attending elementary school, Richard Preiss learned the gunsmith's trade . In addition, he attended the advanced training school. He then worked as a tool fitter. As a member of the Watzdorf MG company, Richard Preiss took part in the suppression of the Upper Silesian uprising that broke out after the First World War in the course of the German-Polish border disputes . He was wounded and awarded the Silesian Eagle 1st and 2nd class.

After joining the Nazi Party, he served in this 1926 to 1928 as a local leader of the local branch of Gliwice . On March 13, 1932, he was appointed Untergaub works cell manager of Upper Silesia . In 1933 Preiss took over the office of the mayor of Gleiwitz. On June 15, 1935 he was appointed district leader of Gleiwitz and on July 1, 1937 as district leader of Rosenberg-Guttentag and in mid-December 1939 as district leader of Ratibor .

From 1932 until the dissolution of this body in autumn 1933, Preiß was a member of the Prussian state parliament . He then sat from November 1933 until the end of Nazi rule in spring 1945 as a member of the National Socialist Reichstag for constituency 9 (Opole) .
