Richard Schmidt (politician, 1864)
Richard Schmidt (born October 18, 1864 in Stargardt , Guben district , Germany; † November 4, 1948 in Berlin-Wittenau ) was a German SPD politician .
Life and work
Schmidt first attended elementary school in Schwiebus and then the military boys' education institute at Annaburg Castle . He then completed a pottery apprenticeship in Frankfurt (Oder) , which he completed in 1883 with the journeyman's examination. He was involved in the central association of potters .
MP
After the Reichstag election in 1919 , Schmidt sat in the Weimar National Assembly for the SPD, for which he also worked as a full-time party secretary .
