Stargard Gubiński (German historical Stargardt , Stargard , Lower Sorbian Stary Grod ) is a place in the rural municipality of Gubin in the powiat Krosno Odrzańskie in the Lubusz Voivodeship in Poland . In 2013 there were 208 residents here.

Stargard Gubiński belongs to the eastern Lower Lusatia . It is located 10 kilometers southeast of Gubin (Guben) on Voivodeship Road 287 to Lubsko (Sommerfeld) on the Lubsza River .

history

The oldest mentions of the place are from 1357 as Stargrad and from 1393 as Stargard . In the 15th century it belonged to a citizen Zucha from Guben, later to the rule of Amtitz in Bohemia, then Saxony.

Since 1816 Stargard has belonged to the new Guben district in the province of Brandenburg in the Kingdom of Prussia . In 1818 a Vorwerk was created.

The place has belonged to Poland since 1945 and was repopulated with repatriates from Bukowina. On January 15, 1976, the then independent rural community merged with Grabice and Wałowice to form the new rural community Gubin .
