Richard Taendler (born December 21, 1868 in Posen , † September 14, 1909 , drowned on a boat trip off Heligoland ) was a German publisher and one of the most famous literary agents in Berlin .

In Phanta's Schloss , the first volume of poetry by Christian Morgenstern, was published by R. Taendler in 1895 . The edition, which was apparently difficult to sell, was later transferred to the Schuster & Löffler publishing house , who replaced the binding of the volumes and deleted the name of the previous publisher.

In addition, Taendler published novels such as When the Curtain Falls by Jonas Lie , Die Klugen und die Schlauen by Arthur Zapp , Das Goldherz by Anton Freiherr von Perfall , Der Not obeying by Ada von Gersdorff , Frauenseelen by Ida von Conring, Hugin and Munin by Anna Treichel or Bajowo by Elisabeth Siewert .
