Richie Crabtree

Richard Arthur "Richie" Crabtree (born January 23, 1934 in Sidney (Montana) ) is an American jazz pianist (also organ ) and arranger .

Richie Crabtree is from Montana and was a student of Freddie Saatman. He also occupied himself with the music of Arnold Schönberg . He became known in the USA through his membership in the formation The Mastersounds , in which the Montgomery brothers played in the late 1950s and early 1960s, Monk Montgomery on bass, Buddy Montgomery on vibraphone and Benny Barth on drums. After 1961 there are no further recordings by Crabtree. In the field of jazz he was involved in 14 recording sessions between 1957 and 1961.
