Riding Bean ( Japaneseラ イ デ ィ ン グ ・ ビ ー ン) is a Japanese anime film produced as OVA by Studio Artmic .

action

Bean Bandit, known to the police as the Roadbuster, is a courier for everything in Chicago . With his partner, Rally Vincent, a master at handling firearms, he transports all sorts of things through the city for good and bad, provided that the payment is correct.

On his first assignment at the beginning of the film, Bandit works as an escape driver for two bank robbers. These bank robbers, who are initially disguised, are a woman named Semmerling and a girl named Carrie, who, as it turns out later, is Semmerling's lover.

On his next assignment, Bandit is supposed to deliver a little girl named Chelsea Grimwood at home on behalf of a Morris Gray, who is, however, Semmerling in disguise. But the whole thing is a trap that Semmerling set for him. At the Grimwoods estate, the guards immediately attack Bean because they think he has kidnapped the girl. In addition, the police are now on his heels, who also believe he is the kidnapper. He has no choice but to look for Semmerling. He finds her at a gas station and a chase develops. Bean and his partner Rally Semmerling and her accomplice can kill in a parking garage.

Bandit and Rally then have to flee because the police have surrounded the building. On their way out they meet Carrie, whom they finally take care of. The three of them flee the parking garage together.

Publications

criticism

"Attractive and rich in detail in the background drafts, the film does not use the usual genre elements inappropriately, but remains bold and obviously suffers from the stiff assembly line animation."

Others

Rally Vincent stars in Kenichi Sonoda's subsequent work, the manga Gunsmith Cats . Bean Bandit also makes a few appearances in the manga.
