Rifat Şen (born August 22, 1990 in Hohenems ) is an Austrian football player of Turkish descent on the position of a defender .

Career

Youth and club career

Şen began his active career as a football player in February 1998 in the youth department of the SCR Altach in Vorarlberg . There he went through several youth play classes before he registered in 2005 at the Federal Youth Center (BNZ) Vorarlberg . He then visited this until 2009 and at the same time signed off from his home club, SCR Altach, as he was committed to the second-rate first division, FC Dornbirn. Before that, he was used during the 2007/08 season for the third combat team of SCR Altach in the ninth class 4th national class - Oberland in two games in which he scored a goal.

Immediately after a professional contract was submitted to him by the club management of FC Dornbirn, he made his professional debut on July 17, 2009, when he played the full game in the 0: 4 home defeat against FC Admira Wacker Mödling . To date, the young defender has made a total of 16 league appearances, each of which he played for the full length of the game, and scored two goals. Şen also took part in the 2009/10 ÖFB Cup and was there in two games. For the 2010/11 season he moved to Salzburg for USK Anif . After he was used in 19 games in Regionalliga West for USK Anif in the 2010/2011 season , he moved to FC Hard . In spring 2012, Şen signed with the Lichtenstein club FC Balzers .

International

Şen made the acquaintance of the Austrian U-19 national team. He has also been part of the U-20 national team in Austria since November 2009. He was appointed to the squad by U-20 team boss Hermann Stadler on November 9, 2009 for an international four-nation tournament after some players had to cancel early. During the game against Germany's U-20s , the young defender was substituted on for the injured Sebastian Radakovics in the 39th minute ; the match on November 13th ended in a 2-2 draw. Four days later he played the full length of the match in a 1-0 home win over Italy's U-20s.

Private

With Emirhan, Rifat Şen has a younger brother who is currently active as a striker in Group 1 of the U-11 team at SCR Altach and is already in the club's U-12 squad.

Rifat Şen visited the " HAS Bregenz " together with other professional and amateur football players . Among his classmates, with whom he took his final exams and left school in 2007, were Gilles Ganahl , Andreas Simma (both Altach), Sercan Altundas (SC Bregenz), Çetin Batir (first SC Bregenz, later Viktoria Bregenz), Metin Batir (FC Lustenau 07), Franco Joppi (Dornbirn) and Sebastian Beer (FC Hard).
