The Rifugio Bagnour ( 2017  m slm ) is a mountain hut in the Cottian Alps of the northern Italian province of Cuneo , Piedmont region, which is managed during the summer months . The Rifugio is part of the municipality of Pontechianale (upper Varaitatal, including Valle Varaita ) and is set on Lake Bagnour right in Bosco dell'Alevè, with 825  hectares of one of the largest Zirbelkieferwälder the Alps.

history

The house was built in 1941 by the forest administration. After a total renovation by the mountain community Comunità Montana Valle Varaita, the Rifugio was opened in 2004.
