The Rifugio Pastore , full name Rifugio Francesco Pastore , ( German Pastore Hut ) is a refuge of the Club Alpino Italiano in the Valais Alps .
location
The hut is located in the Alta Valsesia Nature Park on the Alpe Pile at 1575 m slm in the Monte Rosa massif .
history
Planning began in 1971 and the new building was inaugurated on July 1, 1973 thanks to generous donations. The hut was named after Francesco Pastore, the brother of the then Section President Gianni Pastore, who died in a traffic accident. Today the rifugio consists of 4 small huts that are mainly made of larch wood and Valsesia stones. A special feature of the Rifugio is a designated area for camping.
Approach
The hut can be reached in 45 minutes from the hamlet of Wold .
