The Rivière Rigaud ( English Rigaud River ) is a right tributary of the Ottawa River in the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Québec .

The Rivière Rigaud rises five kilometers west of Alexandria in the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry United Counties in the far east of Ontario. It flows through the municipal area of North Glengarry initially in a northerly direction and later in an easterly direction . The Ontario Highways 34 and 24 cross the river at the Laggan settlement . Gradually the Rivière Rigaud turns to the east. He passes the settlement Lochinvar and flows not far from the places Dalkeith and St. Eugène (in the Prescott and Russell United Counties ) further east and crosses the provincial border to Montérégie in Québec. Shortly afterwards he takes up the Rivière Rigaud Est on the right. The river flows along the northern slope of the Montagne de Rigaud and flows through the small town of Rigaud . He turns to the north. The Autoroute 40 crosses the Rivière Rigaud shortly before its confluence with the Ottawa River. The Rivière Rigaud has a length of about 75 kilometers. He drains an area of 534 km² (according to other sources 538.4 km²), with 85.2 percent of the area on Ontario.

The Rivière Rigaud used to be called Rivière à la Graisse . In 1968 it was changed and named after Pierre de Rigaud de Vaudreuil de Cavagnial , the last governor general of New France .
