Rikke Vestergaard Poulsen (born April 20, 1986 in Vinderup ) is a Danish handball player . Since December 2016 she has been on pause due to pregnancy.
Career
Poulsen started playing handball at Ejsing BK at the age of four. She then played for Team Tvis Holstebro until the summer of 2007 and then joined GOG . For the 2008/09 season, the goalkeeper moved to SK Aarhus . With Aarhus she took part in the EHF Cup in the 2009/10 season . In the summer of 2012, Poulsen signed a contract with KIF Vejen . After two seasons with Vejen, she joined Viborg HK . In the summer of 2019 she moved to the Danish first division team Esbjerg . With Esbjerg she won the Danish championship in 2020.
Poulsen has so far guarded the goal of the Danish national team 72 times . With Denmark she won the bronze medal at the 2013 World Cup .
