Riko Azuna

Riko Azuna ( Japanese 安 月 名 莉 子 Azuna Riko ; born December 3, 1993 in Saitama Prefecture ) is a Japanese pop singer who is associated with the Kadokawa company . She made her debut as a professional musician with the song Kimi ni Furete , which can be heard in the anime series Bloom into you . Her songs were also used in the anime series Re: Zero and Boogiepop and Others .

life and career

Azuna was born on December 3, 1993. She has been interested in music and acting since her youth and accordingly played in school musicals between her second year at elementary school and third year at high school. In the pieces she acted as a singer , dancer and actress . The one she valued singing most, Azuna focused on a career as a musician. During her time at the university , she played in various locations in Tokyo .

Azuna's professional career began in 2018 when she found out about an audition for the opening credits for the anime series Bloom into you . At that point, all she knew was that the series was about love between two girls and shortly afterwards began reading the manga series . She won the audition with the title Kimi ni Furete , which was eventually used as the song in the opening credits of the anime series. The single was released on CD on November 28, 2018 and was number 39 on Oricon’s Japanese singles chart , where it remained in the leaderboard for a total of six weeks. She interpreted the song Memories , which was the opening track of the OVA Re: Zero: Memory Snow . Her second single, Whiteout , was released on February 27, 2019 and was the closing title for the anime series Boogiepop and Others .

In November appeared with Glow at the velocity of Lights her third single before in November that year with perfect be, plz! another single followed. Glow at the Velocity of Lights was used as the theme song of the anime series Astra Lost in Space . Be Perfect, plz! can be heard in the credits of the anime series Shinchō Yūsha .
