The Rinderbach ( GKZ 27698), also called Vogelsangbach after the Heiligenhauser Wohnplatz and today's district Vogelsang , is an 11.7 km long orographically left tributary of the Ruhr in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany .
geography
The stream rises in Velbert at an altitude of 238 m above sea level. NN . From here the Rinderbach or Vogelsangbach flows first in a north-westerly and westerly direction. It is dammed into a lake at the Abbot's kitchen and passes the Heiligenhaus center on the northern outskirts. Here the course turns north. At Kettwig before the bridge the Rinderbach flows at 37 m above sea level. NN in the Ruhr.
The Rinderbach overcomes a height difference of 201 m on its 11.7 km long path, which corresponds to an average bed gradient of 17.2 ‰. The brook drains a 20.346 km² catchment area via the Ruhr and Rhine to the North Sea .
