Ringingen is a district of Erbach in the Alb-Donau district in Baden-Württemberg .
history
Ringingen is located on traffic routes that date from pre-Roman times. Traces of settlement from the Neolithic and Celtic times are to be found southwest of today's location, and remains of an Alemannic cemetery have been found.
A parish has been recorded in Ringingen since the 13th century; the Church of the Assumption of Mary was built on foundations from the Romanesque period.
The place was destroyed in the Thirty Years War .
On January 1, 1972, Ringingen was incorporated into Erbach with the hamlet of Steinenfeld .
Attractions
The baroque Catholic Church of the Assumption is located in the center of the village. In the Alb-Donau district, Ringingen has the first so-called cold hall, an unheated sports hall with artificial turf.

Ringingen has a kindergarten and a primary school.
Infrastructure
In the industrial area south of Ringingen there are several companies that offer around 80 to 90 jobs. However, numerous residents of Ringingen commute to work in Ulm , Ehingen, Erbach etc. In the center of the village there are two bakeries and a butcher's shop; However, there is no doctor or pharmacy in Ringingen.
Local clubs & events
Among other things, the Ringingen 1948 eV sports club and the Ringingen music club are represented in Ringingen and have jointly organized the Ringingen Autumn Festival since 1976.

The L240 from Schelklingen to Erbach crosses Ringingen in an east-west direction. The L241 leads north towards Blaubeuren , from which the B28 can be reached.
