Rita Ackermann

Rita Ackermann (born April 19, 1968 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian - American artist .

Live and act

Ackermann studied from 1989 to 1992 at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts , from 1992 in New York City at the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculture . She became particularly famous for her collages .

Her artwork has been exhibited in museums and galleries in the United States , Japan, and Europe . She became known for amorphous depictions that depict fantasy creatures made up of men and women or women and children. With larger than life works of art, she succeeds in generating fantasies of eroticism in the viewer. Among other things, she was a member of the artist group Angelblood and organized exhibitions such as The Perfect Man (2007). Ackermann stands with other well-known artists for the breakthrough of women in the art market.

Ackermann currently lives and works in New York City .
