Rita Haller-Haid (* 8. December 1950 in Rottweil ) is a German politician of the SPD and was from 2001 to 2016 a member of the state parliament of Baden-Wuerttemberg .

education and profession

After her school education at the elementary school and high school in Rottweil, which she graduated from high school in 1970, Rita Haller-Haid studied social pedagogy at the Eberhard-Karls-University in Tübingen . After working as a youth and home educator, she has been director of the Edith Stein residence hall in Tübingen since 1985 . From 1996 to 2001 she also worked for Gerd Weimer, member of the state parliament . Since 2003, she has been on leave of absence as head of the dormitory for her political work.

Political activity

Rita Haller-Haid joined the SPD in 1988. From 1995 to 2004 she was a member of the state board of the Working Group of Social Democratic Women (AsF) and from 1997 to 2004 a member of the SPD state board of Baden-Württemberg . She was a member of the district council of the Tübingen district from 1995 to 1999 and again since 2004. She has been a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament since April 17, 2001, the beginning of the 13th electoral term. For the 13th, 14th and 15th electoral terms, she was elected through a second mandate from the Tübingen constituency. She was deputy parliamentary group leader and European policy spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group as well as a member of the state parliament's presidium, the committee for science, research and the arts, the European committee and the committee under Article 62 of the constitution (emergency parliament). She was also a member of the EnBW Deal investigation committee . She did not run for the 2016 state election .

Rita Haller-Haid is divorced and has an adult daughter and an adult son. She lives in Tübingen and is Protestant.
