Rita Schönenberger
Rita Schönenberger (born Heggli ; born December 3, 1962 ) is a former Swiss hurdler and long jumper .
In 1987 she was fourth over 60 meter hurdles at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Indianapolis and reached the semifinals at the World Championships in Rome over 100 meter hurdles . At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 , she was eliminated from the 100 meter hurdles in the quarter-finals.
At the European Championships in Helsinki in 1994 , she failed in the long jump in qualification.
She was Swiss champion in the 100 meter hurdles six times (1984–1989) and fourteen times in the long jump (1980, 1984–1992, 1994–1997). In the hall she won eight times the national title in the 60 meter hurdles (1985-1991, 1993) and three times in the long jump (1992-1994).
