history

The Wingendorf manor

The Wingendorf manor with the associated places Wingendorf and Frankenstein belonged to the Freiberg district office before 1378 . For centuries the manor was owned by the von Schönberg family , who also owned the Frankenberg and Sachsenburg offices in the area , as well as the Börnichen manor in the Augustusburg office and the Oberschöna manor in the Freiberg district office. Around 1551 Wingendorf and Frankenstein belonged to the Schönberg manor Oberschöna, the administration of the places was no longer the responsibility of the Freiberg district office, but the Augustusburg office. From 1696 the Wingendorf manor is occupied by the places Wingendorf, Frankenstein and the "town" Hainichen, which has since belonged to the Freiberg district office again.

In 1851 Hainichen was granted city rights. The jurisdiction of the new city passed from the Wingendorf Manor to the Royal Court of Hainichen. The jurisdiction of the places Wingendorf and Frankenstein was transferred to the Royal Court of Oederan in 1855.

The Hainichen exclave

Hainichen was originally owned by the von Honsberg family ( Arnsdorf ; verifiable from 1283 to 1435). It then passed into the possession of the von Maltitz family , who sold Hainichen to the von Schönberg family in 1446 .

In 1276 Hainichen was mentioned as a market town and in 1282 as an oppidum (town-like settlement), around 1493 the place was referred to as a “little town”. The basic rule about Hainichen initially was incumbent on the manor Oberschona , from 1696 belonging to the manor Wingendorf and the County Office Freiberg is detectable. The place was an exclave in the Nossen office , which was formed in 1540 from the secularization of the Altzella monastery . Hainichen was still surrounded by the exclaves of the Arnsdorf manor ( Leisnig district ).
