The River Gade is a watercourse in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire , England . It arises south of Studham and flows south through Hemel Hempstead . There the River Bulbourne flows into it and it meets the Grand Union Canal , the course of which it follows as far as Watford , where it flows into the River Colne .
