The River Len is a watercourse in Kent , England . It arises in the southeast of Harrietsham and initially flows south under the M20 motorway , then turns south of the motorway to the north-west, following the course of the motorway. However, the River Len then turns a little further west and irrigates the moat of Leeds Castle . To the north of the castle, the river turns even stronger to the west. The River Len flows through Maidstone and flows into the River Medway in the center of the village .
