The Rivera Peaks are a wedge-shaped and 22.5 km long mountain range in the southern Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . They loom between the Swann Glacier and the Watson Peaks .
The United States Geological Survey mapped them on the basis of own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from the years 1961 to 1967. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1968 after James P. Rivera, who was part of the United States Antarctic Research Program in 1967 as Electrical engineer at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station .
