The Rivière Famine is a right tributary of the Rivière Chaudière in the Canadian province of Québec .

The Rivière Famine rises near Sainte-Justine in the MRC Les Etchemins . It flows in a south-south-west direction into the MRC Beauce-Sartigan , where it flows into the Rivière Chaudière in the city of Saint-Georges . The Rivière Famine has a length of 48 km. It drains an area of ​​704 km². The mean discharge is 14.9 m³ / s. Larger tributaries are Rivière à la Raquette from the right and Rivière Veilleux and Rivière des Abénaquis from the left. There are several rapids and waterfalls along the river, including one in the Canton de Watford , where its water drops 13 m.
