The Riviére Foucault is a river in the Canadian province of Québec .

The Rivière Foucault runs in the far north of the Ungava Peninsula in the administrative region of Nord-du-Québec . The 106 km long river flows from Lac Spartan in a predominantly north-north-westerly direction and finally flows into the Fjord de Salluit , a bay on the north coast of the Ungava Peninsula that opens up to the Hudson Strait . The river drains an area of ​​3,160 km². The most important tributary is the Rivière Gatin .

The river was named after Simon Foucault (1699-1744).
