The Rivière des Trois Pistoles is a river in the Bas-Saint-Laurent administrative region of the Canadian province of Québec .
The Rivière des Trois Pistoles has its origin in the small lake Lac des Trois Pistoles at an altitude of about 350 m . The lake is located 3 km southwest of Sainte-Rita - about 30 km from the east bank of the Saint Lawrence River - estuary . For the first 4 km it flows in a south-westerly direction. Shortly before Saint-Cyprien , it then turns to the northwest. The Route 293 crosses the river. The place Saint-Jean-de-Dieu is north of the Rivière des Trois Pistoles. This continues its course in a predominantly north-westerly direction through the MRC Les Basques . It cuts through the Appalachian mountain range and flows 4 km west of Trois-Pistoles into the estuary of the St. Lawrence River. The village of Rivière-Trois-Pistoles lies at the mouth . There Route 132 crosses the river. The Rivière des Trois Pistoles has a length of 50 km. It drains an area of 966 km². The mean discharge is 18 m³ / s.
