Riwne ( Ukrainian Рівне ; Russian Ровное Rownoe ) is a village in the Ukrainian oblast Kirowohrad with about 5,000 inhabitants (2014). Rivne is the most populous village in Kirovohrad Oblast and the administrative center of the district council of the same name .
The village is located in the Nowoukrajinka district, 22 km southeast of the Novoukrajinka district center and 51 km southwest of the Kropywnyzkyj oblast center on the 135 km long Chornyj Taschlyk , a tributary of the Synyucha . In the village, the territorial road T-12-21 runs onto the T-24-01 . For District Municipality of Rivne are still villages: Wilne ( Вільне ⊙ ) Iwaniwzi ( Іванівці ⊙ ) Losuwatka ( Лозуватка ⊙ ) Radisne ( Радісне ⊙ ) and Tscherwonyj Tashlyk ( Червоний Ташлик ⊙ ).
The Ukrainian writer and playwright Ivan Mykytenko ( Іван Кіндратович Микитенко , 1897–1937) was born in the village .
