Protected area
The reserve is located on the site of a former farm and impressively shows how nature is reclaiming areas that have been left to it. For example, weymouth pine forests and former cattle pastures provide a habitat for beavers on fields that were previously used for arable farming . A former basement room is filled with water and has become a breeding area for forest frogs and spotted newts . There are 1 mi (1.6 km ) of hiking trails available to visitors.
