Robbie Buchanan (born February 23, 1996 in Blantyre ) is a Scottish football player .

Career

Robbie Buchanan was born in Blantyre in 1996, 15 km southeast of Glasgow. He played for the Glasgow Rangers in his youth until he was thirteen , before joining Heart of Midlothian in Edinburgh in 2009 . On August 20, 2014 Buchanan made his professional debut for the Hearts against Livingston FC in the 2nd round of the Challenge Cup . Buchanan made his league debut two months later in the Edinburgh Derby against Hibernian . In January 2015 Buchanan was loaned out to Cowdenbeath FC for the remainder of the 2014/15 season . After his contract in the capital was extended until 2017, another loan to Cowdenbeath followed until November 2015.
