Robby Behm

Robby Behm (born December 9, 1986 in Stralsund ) is a German weightlifter .

Robby Behm was born in 1986 as the son of the most successful weightlifter in the GDR , Andreas Behm . The athlete trained by his father was like him at the beginning of his sporting career for TSV 1860 Stralsund . Later he moved to Chemnitz AC .

At the German championship in 2005 in Rodewisch , Robby Behm won five medals among the juniors in the weight class up to 94 kilograms . He set six new personal bests. He won the joke with 182 kg, in snatch with 143 kg and thus also in a duel with 325 kg the championship title. Through his achievements, he also received silver in the jog and bronze in the duel in the joint evaluation with the men.

At the end of November 2009, he played the last competition for his Stralsund club. He then had to take a long break (two knee operations in 2010). He has been working for the Chemnitz AC since spring 2011.

After the German Championships in Forst (Baden) on October 8, 2011, in which he took second place in the individual disciplines of tearing and pushing as well as in duels, Behm was nominated for the 2011 World Championships in Paris. As a participant in the 2011 World Championships , he reached 18th place in a duel on November 4, 2011 in France.

As a member of the Bundesliga team of Chemnitz AC, he won the team final in 2012 and became German champions with his team.
