Robert Bosch Way

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Robert-Bosch-Weg , formerly Boschweg for short , is the connection route from the Stuttgarter Hütte to the Ulmer Hütte in the Lechtal Alps , which crosses the border between the two Austrian states of Vorarlberg and Tyrol . The path initially leads as a high-altitude path, continuously rising slightly from the Stuttgarter Hütte on the slope of the Roggspitze to below the Trittscharte . There the path leads over the remains of a glacier up to the Scharte and on the other side of the valley down to the Ulmer Hut. As a variant, you can bypass the Trittscharte and reach the Ulmer Hut via the Vallugagrat and Valfagehrjoch .

The path was laid out in 1911 with funds from Robert Bosch . He financed the construction as a member of the Stuttgart section of the German-Austrian Alpine Club . In 2011 Robert Bosch GmbH supported the renewal of the path on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the path and the 150th birthday of its founder. It was moved a little closer towards the Valluga summit and marked white and blue throughout. It was also renamed “Robert-Bosch-Weg” in honor of the founder that year. The Robert-Bosch-Weg is part of the extended Lech Quellenrunde .
