Robert Babicz
Robert Babicz (born January 5, 1973 in Niemodlin , Poland ) is a Cologne musician who is one of the most famous representatives of acid techno . Babicz publishes under his real name and numerous pseudonyms such as Rob Acid , Acid Warrior , Atlon Inc. , Department Of Dance , Dicabor , Sontec or Twirl .
Career
Robert Babicz was born in Poland in 1973 and has lived in Germany since 1980.
His first record Acid Science Trax Vol 1. was released in 1992 under the alias Colone . With his single Pro Deux EP , which was released shortly afterwards, and the track Happy Answer contained on it , he made it into the English dance charts. Two years later he founded the record label Junkfood Records with Michael Zosel .
He released an ambient album of the same name under the name Dicabor on the Berlin label Space Teddy . From 1999, publications on the labels Force Inc. Music Works and Mille Plateaux followed .
Babicz published together with artists such as Roland Casper (Joseph and His Cousin), Mijk van Dijk (Rob & Mijk van Dijk Beekeeping), Mate Galic (Hobby) and Dr. Motte (Dicabor vs. Dr. Motte).
In 2010 he founded his new label Babiczstyle .
He performs regularly as a live act in Germany and abroad .
