Robert Bredaz

Robert Bredaz (born December 7, 1892 in Chevilly , † November 19, 1952 in Lausanne , entitled to live in Chevilly) was a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

biography

Bredaz attended the École industrial in Lausanne from 1909 to 1911 , as well as the agricultural school in Cernier . From 1911 to 1916 he worked in the Federal Statistical Office in the Agriculture Section . From 1917 he managed an agricultural property in La Chaux .

He held his first political office from 1918 to 1922 as a municipal councilor and then from 1922 to 1934 as mayor of La Chaux. In 1925 he was elected to the Grand Council of the Canton of Vaud and had a seat there until 1945. From 1929 to 1931 and in 1952 he was a member of the National Council .

From 1926 he was a member of the Synod and from 1934 a member of the Synodal Council. He was also Vice President from 1944 to 1951 and then President of the Cantonal Welfare Chamber from 1951 to 1952. Bredaz was also deputy governor of the Cossonay district from 1942 to 1951 .
