Robert Dauber

Robert Dauber (born August 27, 1922 Vienna; † March 24, 1945 in Dachau ) was a German cellist and composer .

Robert Dauber's father was the composer, arranger and conductor Adolf "Dol" Dauber (1894–1950), who was known as the director of the Dol Dauber Salon Orchestra in Vienna in the 1920s. Robert Dauber played the piano and cello. In the Theresienstadt concentration camp he took part in performances of the Brundibár opera . In March 1945 Dauber died of typhus in Dachau . The only known work is in the music collection of the Austrian National Library in the estate of the father (signature: MUS: F79 Dauber).
