Robert Drumheller

Robert Drumheller (* before 1967; † February 1, 1998 ) was a production designer and art director .

Life

Drumheller began his career on the film staff in 1967 with television. His first feature film was the thriller Incident ... and they had no mercy . In the early 1970s he worked on the blaxploitation films Shaft and Greetings from Guns . He worked frequently with Sidney Lumet and Woody Allen .

1979 he was responsible for Lumet's adventure film The Wiz - The Wizard of Oz along with Tony Walton , Philip Rosenberg and Edward Stewart for the Oscar in the category Best Art Direction nominated, but the award went this year to the fantasy film The Heaven Can Wait .

Drumheller was rarely active in television; for one of his few television works, the miniseries Evergreen , he won a Primetime Emmy in 1985 .
