Robert Flores , full name Robert Mario Flores Bistolfi , (born May 13, 1986 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

The 1.79 meter tall midfielder Flores is the younger brother of the former national player Darío Flores . He belonged in the Clausura 2007 and the Clausura in 2008 the squad in Montevideo based club River Plate Montevideo on. Other sources cite August 2006 as his debut time in the top Uruguayan league. In a poll conducted by El Observador newspaper , he was named the best player of the 2007/08 Uruguayan championship season. In June 2008 he signed a four-year contract with Villarreal FC . The transfer fee is said to have been 2.1 million euros. 20 percent of the transfer rights remained with the Uruguayan club. On July 11, 2008, the loan from Flores to River Plate Buenos Aires was announced until the end of the 2008/09 season . After 13 appearances and two goals in the Primera División , he returned to the Spaniards and was used in the 2009/10 season 23 times (no goal) for the second team Villarreals playing in the Segunda División . In July 2010 he returned to Uruguay, where he played on loan at Nacional Montevideo in the 2010/11 season and contributed to winning the Uruguayan Championship with 15 matches (no goal) of the Primera División . He also played in two games (no goal) of the Copa Libertadores . In the second half of 2011 he was active at the Bulgarian club Litex Lovech . Nine league games as well as three Champions League games as well as one Europa League match show the statistics at this career station for him. He did not score a competitive goal. In 2012 he was under contract with CD Palestino in Chile . He was used 36 times (one goal) in the Primera División and once in the Copa Chile (no goal). The other career stations were Deportivo Quito in 2013 (36 games, one goal in Primera A) and Sport Recife in the first half of 2014 (four goalless appearances in Pernambucano 1, one in Serie A).

At Apertura 2014 he moved again to River Plate Montevideo. In the 2014/15 season he was used 18 times in the top Uruguayan league and scored two goals. He also played four games (no goal) of the Copa Sudamericana 2014 . For the 2015/16 season he made 17 first division appearances (no goal) and five in the Copa Libertadores 2016 (no goal). In late July 2016, he joined the first division promoted Boston River . In the 2016 season he was used eight times (no goal) in the league.

National team

Flores was a member of the Uruguayan senior team . He made his debut on May 25, 2008 under national coach Óscar Tabarez in the friendly international match against Turkey, which he won 3-2 in Bochum , when he came on for Ignacio González in the 74th minute . His second and last appearance for the "Celeste" dates from May 28, 2008 in the 2-2 draw against Norway in Oslo, when he again came on as a substitute for González. He did not score an international goal.
