Robert Hasenfuß (born February 1, 1889 in Poppelsdorf , † June 30, 1970 in Helmstedt ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Hasenfuß attended school in Helmstedt and then began a commercial apprenticeship. He then worked in retail in Magdeburg and Leipzig . In the First World War he was a participant in the war, but was captured and interned in Switzerland. He attended the commercial college in St. Gallen and after the end of the war in 1918 became authorized representative of the Überland-Zentrale Helmstedt AG in his home country Helmstedt . During the Weimar Republic he was a city councilor in Helmstedt and between 1923 and 1954 chairman of the works council. He was also the owner of a large apiary . Hasenfuß only became a member of the CDU after 1945. He was elected chairman of the district association in Helmstedt. He also became chairman of the Helmstedt Zone Edge Care Center and in 1954 an honorary social judge.

Public offices

Hasenfuß was elected a member of the city council in Helmstedt and a member of the district council of the Helmstedt district. For several years he was mayor of the city of Helmstedt and district administrator of the district of Helmstedt. In the third to fifth electoral term, Hasenfuß was elected to the Lower Saxony state parliament between May 6, 1955 and June 5, 1967. Here he was chairman of the submission committee from September 23, 1955 to June 5, 1967 and belonged to the DP / CDU parliamentary group from May 9, 1955 to May 5, 1959.

Honors

Hasenfuß has been awarded the Cross of Merit First Class of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany . In 1968 he was made honorary citizenship of the city of Helmstedt.
