Robert Jacobs (District Administrator)

Robert Ludwig August Jacobs (born August 5, 1832 in Fehrbellin , † August 30, 1897 in Landsberg an der Warthe ) was a Prussian administrative officer.

Life

After attending the education department in Halle, Robert Jacobs studied law and camera science at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin . In 1852 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn . After graduating, he entered the Prussian civil service. In 1863 he became district administrator of the district of Landsberg (Warthe) . He held the office for more than 3 decades until his death in 1897.

Jacobs sat from 1879 to 1897 as a member of the constituency Frankfurt 2 (Landsberg, Soldin, or from 1894 city and district Landsberg, Soldin) in the Prussian House of Representatives . He belonged to the faction of the Conservative Party . In 1885 he was a member of the Agricultural Commission.
